Our History

Banchetto was derived from the Italian word, which means a “feast.” It is the FIRST OVERNIGHT STREET FOOD FIESTA held weekly right in the MIDDLE of the Street! Born on February 2007, it is a project commissioned to us by the Ortigas Center Association (OCAI) and Rotary Club of Ortigas Center (RCOC) with its main purpose is to promote the Ortigas Center Tourism Council.

There are more than 50 call centers housed in all the buildings situated along Emerald Avenue. This is why we decided to focus on the call center employees who work in the wee hours of the morning. They are our main target market.

Banchetto EMERALD was every Friday along F. Ortigas Jr. Avenue (formerly known as Emerald Avenue) from 12 midnight until 11am of Saturday.  A portion of the road is closed to traffic where tents were lined up in the middle. We started with only 14 food vendors, which grew to about 130 last December of 2010.

On February 2010, Banchetto FORUM was born. It is the FIRST OVERNIGHT ROADSIDE FOOD FIESTA held every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights from 8.30pm until 6am of the following day. It is located at the delivery bay area of Robinson’s Pioneer corner EDSA in Mandaluyong City.

In 2011, our THIRD site was opened to public. Banchetto SHOPWISE is our SECOND OVERNIGHT ROADSIDE FOOD FIESTA, which happens every Tuesday night from 4pm until 12mn. This is located at the open parking area of Shopwise in Libis, Quezon City.

On the same year, the local baranggay, Baranggay San Antonio, showed its vested interest on Banchetto Emerald; They wanted to take over but the OCAI did not approve of it. On its fourth year in the business, the local baranggay suddenly filed a city ordinance stating that their roads cannot be closed for any type of activity/event. On May 10, 2011, we were informed that it will be Banchetto's last night in Emerald Avenue.

On June 10, 2011 – BANCHETTO MEGATENT opened its doors to the public in their “new found home.” The former Banchetto Emerald is back but in its NEW LOCATION which was at the MEGATENT along Meralco Avenue, between Renaissance Towers and the Department of Education building in Pasig City. Banchetto MEGATENT was held every Friday and lasted until May of 2012.

Banchetto is an Overnight Food Fiesta with a cutting-edge dining experience in a distinct ambiance. It’s initial target market were the employees of BPO companies, which holds office in the Ortigas Center. With our growing business, its popularity has also tapped the Residents of nearby cities, families from as far as Cebu, Pampanga, Batangas, Davao, etc., Foreigners, and Balikbayans.

Banchetto has started to conquer the "SOUTH SIDE" too! Starting on July 30, 2013, Banchetto SUCAT-SHOPWISE operates EVERY TUESDAYS from 4pm until 2am. It is located at the covered parking area of Shopwise along Sucat Road in Paranaque City.
